12M SCISSOR LIFT OPERATOR
Job Description
The 12m Scissor Lift Operator is responsible for safely operating a scissor lift to access elevated work areas up to 12 meters high. The operator will assist with a variety of tasks such as installations, maintenance, electrical work, and general construction, ensuring all duties are performed according to safety regulations and company standards.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid certification or license to operate a scissor lift (e.g., MEWP, IPAF, or equivalent).
- Proven experience operating a 12m (or similar) scissor lift.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights.
- Attention to detail and strong coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Operate a 12m scissor lift to reach elevated work areas safely.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance of the lift.
- Perform lifting and placement of materials, tools, or equipment as needed.
- Assist other trades and workers with tasks at height.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Complete required logs or inspection checklists.
- Comply with OSHA/OSH regulations and site-specific safety standards.
