Job Description
Code 14 Drivers to Transport Dangerous Goods.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid Code 14 (EC) driver's licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP), including Category D (Dangerous Goods).
- Suitable driving experience operating heavy motor vehicles and articulated trucks.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills.
- No disqualifying criminal or driving convictions as prescribed by the PrDP regulations.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation, licences, permits and roadworthy certificates are valid and up to date.
- Secure loads correctly and ensure compliance with legal load limits and road safety regulations.
- Complete delivery notes, trip sheets, logbooks and other relevant transport documentation.
- Ensure goods are handled, loaded and offloaded safely and correctly.
