Job Description
Our client, a well-established service provider to the mining, petrochemical and industrial sectors, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in Secunda.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Contracts Manager in the scaffolding, sandblasting and insulation industry.
- Proven experience managing maintenance contracts and shutdown projects.
- Strong knowledge of the petrochemical and mining industries.
- Excellent leadership, planning and organisational skills.
- Sound commercial and financial management experience, including budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office; experience with project management systems will be advantageous).
- Valid Code B driver's licence.
- Reside in Secunda or surrounding areas, or be willing to relocate.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Manage multiple contracts from initiation through to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Lead and manage site teams, supervisors and subcontractors.
- Maintain strong client relationships and attend client meetings.
- Monitor project progress, budgets and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all client, legal and health & safety requirements.
- Coordinate labour, equipment and materials to meet operational requirements.
- Prepare reports, forecasts and project documentation.
- Identify business opportunities and support contract growth.
