Diesel Mechanic for forklifts

Job Description

Join our team who has a National footprint. We are seeking a Forklift / Diesel Technician in Epping, Cape Town.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Trade Petrol / Diesel Mechanic / Forklift Mechanic
Working knowledge of forklifts, automotive or earthmoving equipment
Valid drivers’ license – essential
Must have own basic tools
General hydraulics knowledge will be an advantage
Breakdown experience
Good communication skills(verbal and written)
Servicing and general preventative maintenance on a fleet of forklifts
Knowledge of basic electronics / electrical components
Ability to read and understand wiring circuit diagrams
Experienced in diagnosing and troubleshooting
Knowledge of Zapi and Curtis Electronic consoles would be an advantage
Must be willing to work standby
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Attending to breakdowns afterhours and on standby
Repairs and maintenance work on electrical, gas and diesel units
Maintaining work standards and ensuring attention to detail
