Job Description

We are looking for a competent and experienced Storeman with solid experience working within the engineering industry

Receipt of deliveries to site, including notification of deliveries to other function
Liaison with Engineering/QC and Safety function for goods receipt inspections
Day to day organisation of a goods received
Monitor stock against agreed inventory levels and re-order as required
Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against ERP inventory
Ensure stock items have appropriate codes
Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items
Issue materials for production per daily work list (pick-list)
Use stores requisition system and keep records
Deliver materials/equipment/items to shopfloor/work areas as required
Report damage to incoming materials or equipment

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

Grade 12

Min 3 years’ experience within the Engineering Industry

Valid and clear driver’s license

Basic MS Excel; MS Word; E Mail, SAP

Key Areas of Responsibility

Responsible for all general store duties and staff. Receiving and dispatching of stock, control of damage and quality. Ordering and maintaining stock levels, negotiating competitive pricing with suppliers
