Job Description

The successful candidate will be accountable to the Stock Controller. To qualify for this position the most suitable candidate must fulfill the following requirements:

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification as per the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
• A qualification in Storekeeping or Materials/Procurement Management will be advantageous
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Storekeeping in a technical/heavy industrial environment
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft office. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be willing and able to perform standby duties and work extended hours
• Must have a valid driver’s license to perform standby duties and get to work
• The ability to operate forklift and overhead crane will be an added advantage.
• Must be declared medically fit as per the man job specifications.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Basic/Brief Responsibilities will include:
• Goods Receiving and Issuing
• Document Control and Administration
• Data Capturing
• Stock Control and Management for re-ordering
• Stock Take
• Record Keeping
• Housekeeping and safety

In addition to the above the successful candidate must also have the following attributes: Positive with energetic attitude; highly self-motivated; good verbal and written communication skills; good “work ethic”; good time management skills; sober habits; be able to work effectively and accurately without supervision and in a team.
